NEDBANK’S NEW COMPUTER SYSTEM MEANS MORE BENEFITS, AND MORE CONVENIENCE.

Nedbank Namibia is pleased to announce the installation of a new cutting-edge IT infrastructure, called “Globus”.
The upgrade is scheduled to go live on the 20th March 2006 and is expected to be absolutely seamless for staff and customers alike. There will be no forms to complete, no changes of mandates, no changes at the branch and no changes to existing committed interest rates.

The new system is not only aligned with Bank of Namibia regulations, but also allows Nedbank to improve its back-end support and therefore its service to customers. What’s more, Nedbank is able to offer new and innovative products that will take Nedbank-ing to a whole new level.

The best part is, the upgrade is going to be swift and hassle-free for customers who should not notice any inconvenience, but rather enjoy a whole host of benefits.

Benefits to customers

The benefits for Current, Savings and Investment Account holders will differ slightly, but basically all customers will enjoy the following:
  • Old account number will still function as normal
  • Customers can use their current cheque books to completion and when they order a new one, it will automatically contain their new account number
  • Nedbank South Africa bank accounts can be loaded as a beneficiary linked to clients’ new accounts on Internet Banking
  • Statements can be emailed in any format, as often as requested
  • Current ATM cards and current Debit Cards can still be used at ATMs and to pay for goods and services
  • Internet banking will be upgraded and named NedbankOnline with a host of new functionalities
  • Clients are requested to access our website for guidance with new logon procedures
  • With NedbankOnline, clients can view their current, home loan, instalment finance and investment accounts, as well as transact freely across all of them
  • Fixed deposits will run to term, and notice deposits can be withdrawn if required
  • All pension and maintenance payments will go through as normal
  • Clients get all this at no extra charge
