Quick access to Nedbank Internet bankingCard re-encodingNew home loan productWhat is your travel allowance?

Quick access to Nedbank Internet banking
We would like to advise clients to go onto the www.nedbank.com.na website and from the home page click onto the internet banking button. This way, entering the internet banking facility is much faster than going through the www.nedbank.co.za site, which tend to download slowly due to graphics.

Card re-encoding
We have recently communicated with certain clients via sms that they need to re-encode their cards at their nearest Nedbank or Nedbank Namibia branch as soon as possible to prevent the card being retained at an ATM or Nedbank Namibia self-service terminal. This procedure is only for PIN-based transactions, ie for use at ATMs and self-service terminals. Please note this is only applicable to the cards listed below and excludes American Express cards:
  • Nedbank credit and cheque cards
  • Old Mutual Bank credit and cheque cards
  • Nedbank Namibia credit and cheque cards
  • MINT credit cards
  • AST/NGN Golf Credit Cards
If you did not receive an sms and your card has been retained because of an invalid PIN, please call the lost or stolen card desk on 0800 110 929 to stop the retained card and request a replacement card. A few clients who never encoded their cards previously may also have received the sms. If you never encoded your card in the past and do not wish to do so for future use at ATMs or self-service terminals, you do not need to have your card encoded. We apologise for any inconvenience, but assure you that this is part of a process of creating a better system for better service!

New home loan product
Good news for new home owners! We proudly introduce our new Nedbank 108% homeloan. Where most banks are only committed between 80 and 100% to your new home, the Nedbank 108% homeloan gives you more. This innovative new product allows a homeloan of up to 108% on the value of your dream home.

This means, that you will have an extra 8% to cover any additional costs such as transfer, bond registration and administration fees, leaving you with that little bit extra to turn your house into a home! This is just another way that we're keeping our promise to grow into a bigger, better bank, for the good of all Namibians.

Please do not hesitate to contact any of our Sales Executives who will be more than able and willing to assist you with all your needs.

What is your travel allowance?
When travelling abroad, a travel allowance of up to N$160 000 per adult may be taken out of the country in each calendar year. Children under 12 years are allowed N$40 000 per calendar year. The full allowance may be taken in traveller's cheques, foreign banknotes, credit cards, bank drafts and overseas money transfers.
Please note that, for security reasons, we require 24 hours' notice when ordering traveller's cheques, cash and bank drafts. Remember that Nedbank Namibia does not charge commission when selling and buying selected major currencies and our bureaux de change offer some of the longest trading hours in Namibia.
